P.'s Proposals: "A Time To Love" - A New Play

For those who know, I have been heavily involved with events and performances at Dr. Barbara Ann Teer's National Black Theatre on 125th Street & 5th Avenue in Harlem. Through my work with Olamide and his family, I have been able to help cultivate & be a part of several amazing musical projects, not the least of which is the new Music & Art Series, Fertile Ground. This Summer, please join me and this wonderful group of individuals as NBT presents, "A Time To Love," a new play written by Dr. Teer's daughter, Sade Lythcott, chronicling the age-old issues of love, relationships, social change, and the cycles of domestic abuse as they pertain to the modern & post-modern Black American family.

"A Time To Love" features the music of the incomparable Stevie Wonder, under the music direction of Bert Price; I helped arrange vocals as well as create incidental music for several scenes in the play. But in case you're wondering, yes, I will be playing piano & keyboards for the show alongside Bert. I hope you will join me as we take this journey of healing back to love. Remember: where there is love, there is no fear.
