Songstress and R&B-Pop princess Beyoncé teams up with Hip-Hop band The Roots in a funkified version of her hit, "Best Thing I Never Had." This is what I enjoy about Mrs. Knowles-Carter, and why I purchased the album, '4.' There's no gimmick, no trickery to this performance, just a well-thought-out re-imagining of an already well-written Babyface record. What I enjoy about these performances is that we get to see artists & musicians doing what they love & know how to do. Bey shines, and though slightly fatigued in her vocals, does not let up for a moment in bringing the crowd to thunderous applause at the song's conclusion. Though I haven't done a full review, I highly recommend picking up '4' on iTunes: Click Here. It is definitely worth the purchase, and I'm sure we can expect more great promotional performances like this over the coming weeks. Great job to everyone on that stage; cheers!
