One of the most sublime performances from the mainstream female Urban music contingent this year. The original song, "Four Women," was written & performed by songstress/writer/activist Nina Simone in the mid-1960's. It was created to depict four stereotypical Black American Female personae, each telling of their own poignant experience, each bemoaning their fate and their pain. This interpretation, featuring Kelly Price, Marsha Ambrosius, Jill Scott, and Ledisi, was from the recent BET special, "Black Girls Rock." Enjoy.
