Lady Gaga comes to us with another reinvention of both herself and her video persona with this visualization of her recent hit, "Judas." On snap judgement of both the song and the video, I found the entire piece to be more 'subdued,' if you will. It may be due in part to the fact we've become used to the fact Lady Gaga will go out of her way to raise the bar and show out. That, combined with the lack of over-sensationalism that has come with previous GaGa videography, leaves the "Judas" viewer definitely wanting more. Still, she is way ahead of many of her contemporaries, and I particularly enjoyed the homages to both the Passion and "Jesus Christ, Superstar." High points in this video include her great eye-makeup and the biker gang representing the 12 apostles. What do you think?
