As some of you may know, I have just begun my second choral season as Associate Music Director for St. Martin de Porres Parish in Brooklyn. This beautiful 3-church Catholic organization has become like a second home for me - literally and figuratively. Over the past several months, the wonderful folks on staff and the community at large have welcomed me with open arms; they are so much fun to work & make music with. While certainly allowing me the freedom to work on my own material, the job has really enhanced my musicianship, and it isn't hard at all to find the joy in the work.
This season, the parish's main site, Our Lady of Victory, celebrates its 150th Anniversary as a church in the Diocese of Brooklyn. As part of the series of fundraising events we've planned, on Saturday, October 28th, we will be welcoming acclaimed Jazz vocalist Tulivu, a Brooklyn native AND an alumnus of the former OLV Elementary School! Accompanied by her outstanding band, Seasoned Elegance, Tulivu will be gracing us with a few hours of her favorite numbers as part of our Jazz Cafe. You know I only promote an event where I'm not featured if I'm confident it will be an awesome time, and your support allows for St. Martin de Porres to continue to be a thriving part of the Historic Bedford Stuyvesant community.
Tickets are $45 online, $55 at the doors, the event begins at 7pm.
There will be an open bar, and light refreshments will be served.

Thank you, as always for your support, and I will see you on 10.28!
